    Good morning all,
I’m new to this forum and have a question:
I have an 8 or 9 year old Monkey Puzzle tree which was damaged on the trunk a couple of weeks ago and now it has a type of white, I can only describe as fungus, oozing out of it. Can anyone tell me how to treat it please? Thanks, Julie

@Julie Bee good morning Julie and welcome to the forum, first of all it would help if you can post photos of the damage and suspected fungus.
If you don't know how to attach photos here is a link to guide you.

What you describe is probably bleed from being scared and this is natural, but let's see a photo or two before any reasons are given.

Sounds like resin bleeding - this is a natural wound sealant, and will help protect the tree from fungal disease invading the damaged bark. Assuming it is otherwise healthy, it should be OK.
