Is this Gooseneck loosestrife (Lysimachia clethroides)?

This was taken in Monroe, Michigan along the banks of the River Raisin in July.

This looks a lot like the gooseneck loosestrife (Lysimachia clethroides) that I saw while I was in Chongcheongnam Province in Korea last year. It is a native plant there, but I didn't think it was a native plant here.

Is this the same plant? A different plant altogether?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Axel.

Any idea as to which Persicaria this might be?

If I had to say something, then my guess would be Persicaria lapathifolia. But someone here might have a better knowledge of local Persicaria (Polygonum) species.

That looks like a pretty good guess to me, Axel. Thank you so much.
