Thank you Daniel. I am sure it is not native. I have feeling that I saw something like this before and can identify, but couldn't find anything in my pictures. Maybe just I look so many times at this plant that it started to be familiar. I really would like to know name of this plant.
Nadia, do you recall the leaf texture? It looks quite crisp, moderately thick, maybe a little waxy. So salt and drought tolerant perhaps? And alternate, I think. And the flowers are striking, that marine blue many-petaled button or disk. The leaves reminded me of Callistemon, then a couple of other Australian plants, then I got onto Dystilia, but they don't fit either. Very interesting.
Thank you, Wendy, looks correct. Maybe even Globularia x indubia, the naturally occurring hybrid between G. sarcophylla and G. salicina. Native to Canary Islands Globularia x indubia, Globe Daisy - Thank you everybody, Globularia would be the answer.
