maple leaf ident question?

    Can anyone tell me what particular maple this is? I have attached a photo.

    Maybe something like Acer cappadocicum.

    I'd agree with Acer cappadocicum. Fairly commonly planted in Britain.

    There are other species that look similar such as Acer mono and A. truncatum, but they're very rarely planted, unlikely to be found outside of a major botanic garden.
