    Hello there,
Bought a home in August last year, and am eager to learn what is in the gardens here!

Perhaps you could help me to identify this fellow appearing in and out of my garden.

Guessing a tree or intersectional peony, or even a helleborus of some kind. Are there any flower buds or a woody stem ?
Maybe somebody can nail it down, interesting.

Ranunculaceae, I'd almost guarantee. Don't know about Aconitum, but maybe Delphinium (or an outside chance of Anemone)

If of that affinity then I would say Ranunculus.
