I went on a hike today and found these plants, none of these I know. I would appreciate ID's. Hopefully some of these are edible! I am really amazed at #6, I've never seen anything like it, it was about 4 inches tall.
The third looks like Maianthemum stellatum and the fourth Matteuccia struthiopteris. If my identifications are correct, many sources say that Maianthemum is edible, and Matteuccia tastes great (speaking from experience) when the unfurling fronds (fiddleheads) are fried in butter and garlic.
The fern looks more like Athyrium filix-femina to me. Matteuccia has has nearly entire lobe margins. Note: Athyrium is not edible.
