    Looks like a possible solanum.
    Need pictures of the entire plant.
    some idea of growth habit, area found would be helpful.

    I just googled Kottayam.
    It is in the southern tip of India.
    Looks like a lush place. Beautiful.

    But need more information to help you.
    Description of plant, picture of whole plant, maybe.
