The photos (one has a retractable rule on it for scale) and one is a close up of a lawn weed in Kent, England. The weed appeared when a local lawn became bare after last summer’s drought and now covers much of the lawn which borders farmland with sheep. It is currently not in flower. It is a real pest. Any ID please. Thank you.
It looks a lot like cutleaf geranium (Geranium dissectum), but the foliage seems a bit too thick and leathery. It's quite a variable species, though, and appearance can vary quite a lot with the growing conditions.
