Lavender identification

    I bought 2 unmarked lavender plants in 6" pots. I live in the San Diego area. Can anyone ID the specific species of this plant? Would it be suitable for planting in containers? Thanks.

    Looks like the one I would call French lavender, Lavandula dentata. I would think this plant would be very happy in San Diego climate.

    Thanks for the speedy reply. That ID looks correct. I have already potted them in 8" pots. Here's hoping for the best.
