It is a great pity that these plants weren't in flower. It would have been easier to make an ID. I do hope a member can help with this ID. Thank you in advance. Photographed in late april 2015. Unfortunately when I returned in June of the same year to photograph the flowers, I found that the field had been toiled, and alas, the plants had been destroyed!
