While visiting a botanical garden with a friend, I, by mistake was
given a plant we now have grown to love! It is some sort of Japanese vine,
very fine leaves with red star-like flowers. Very invasive.
However we do not know the name of this plant. Anyone know what
    it could be?

    Any chance of a photograph?

PS Locally aggressive doesn't necessarily equal invasive, so I've moved your post from invasive plants to plant ID.

Cyprus vine.....that's it. Thank you so much!
It comes back each year, and this year....everywhere.
I had some beautiful sunflowers that the vine literally
    took over.
I live in VA.(USA) Do you know this plant's origin?
    Anything else about it?
    Thanks in advance.
