Is this really Morning Glory???

We are debating if this plant is really Morning Glory?

Can anybody help identify it?

Sorry we don't have any picture of the flowers and this is part of the reason why we are still debating.

Looks more like an Aralia to me, but I could be wrong. Morning glories (Ipomoea) don't normally have roots like that....

 

Lorax, thanks for your suggestion. I looked up Aralia and plants in this genus aren't a vine right?

 

As I said, I could be wrong. It could also be a passionflower. Once it blooms, it will be much easier to tell.

 

It doesn't look like any Morning Glory i've ever seen. It could be a Passion Flower, but not like any I've seen here in the states.Their leaves are solid green. I have no idea what your plant is.
