This plant grows in my garden every year and I toss it out as a weed. Can anyone identify this plant and if it is edible?????

    Thanks

    Hi there,

This is redroot pigweed, Amaranthus retroflexus. I doubt that it's edible, though other members of its family are: 'Bright Lights' Swiss chard and quinoa. Here's more information courtesy of Virginia Tech's Weed ID Guide.
