I came across this massive tumor looking thing on a White Birch tree. I think its Chaga but not sure. Is this Chaga? If not does anyone know what else it could be?
A burl. Not known what causes them. Wood carvers often value them very highly because of the patterned wood grain in them (might not apply here as birch doesn't have very obvious wood grain).
