Is this a weed?

    I found this growing in my garden but I am not sure if it is a weed or something I planted from last year? If someone can help me identify that would be lovely. Located Southern Ontario

    Some kind of Potentilla? Potentilla norvegica may be? Flowers, or someone else on this forum will tell, for sure.
