Is this a queen palm??

    Is this a Queen Palm??? And what about the brown ends....what is that??

    Also...is this a foxtail??

    And someone told me that this is normal for a Bombax this time of year.....the leaves are looking wierd and it looks plain. and its down to about 8 leaves. is it fixing to go into hibernation???

    First one looks like a Majestic Palm to me, and the second one is too young to tell, for me anyway

    Majesty Palm seems correct and the second looks like a Fishtail Palm.
    Neither would be cold hardy in most of Texas North of the Rio Grande Valley.

    Just so happens I live in the rio grande valley....Brownsville. Our climate area was changed to 10.

    any ideas on my other questions?? thanks.
