I hybridize with abutilons and have an interest in all things mallow. I seed germinated in a pot and I thought it looked like an abutilon or mallow, it was different from my abutilon germination but similar enough to keep and see what developed. I got this gorgeous Red Flower which was identified as a pavonia but it does not match any of the photos I have seen on the web. The flower lasts one day and during the day the stigmas reverse themselves and push into the pollen. I'm assuming self pollination. If this is a new plant or a lasiantha I would like to know.

The last flower photo is to show the reversed stigmas, and I have included the underside of the leaves.

    Thanks for looking.
