I have never seen this before, but it is up against the fence in my neighbour's yard.
    Anyone know what it is?

Hard to tell from the photo but bears a resemblance to Plasticus grandis. Thicker petals and lack of any substantial foliage are good identifiers.

Does it go by a common name or anything? I have been searching for hrs and can't find anything on Plasticus grandis.

My neighbour has no idea where it came from..it was just there this year.

Smivies is saying it's an artificial (plastic) flower . . . Plasticus grandis is a joke name ;-))

    I reckon he's right, too!

I never thought to touch it but I would have known then for sure LOL
I was actually afraid to touch it just in case it was something deadly LOL
Wait till I tell her..I am still laughing.

    Thanks.
