Hi, I drink a lot of green tea and yesterday I went to my dads house and got a mint leaf out of the garden for my tea. Today he informs me that the mint plant died so I'm curious as to what the plant that took the place of the mint plant was. I don't know anything about plants and I'm kinda worried about it being poisonous as I threw one of its leaves into my tea yesterday. I'm not too worried because I haven't fallen ill yet but if you guys can Identify it I'd appreciate it. The plant is under a foot tall with no flowers of any kind I attached a picture. I've never been on this forum before so I apologize if I have broke any kind of protocol. I'm in South Texas as well and its grown in a relatively arid backyard in one of the worst droughts ever.
