I need help in determining what the name of a particular shrub is. It is blooming in Tennessee right now everywhere - The leaves resemble a azellia, it has thorns and is flowering. Five petals on the leaves and numerous pestals in the middle. It seems to intertwine itself as it grows, kind of like an ivy. Any help would be appreciated. I am new to this area and would like to make a long hedge with this large bush.

    A photo would really help.

    Maybe Chaenomeles(flowering quince).
