Identify short, thick leaved plant.

    I found this plant at a nursery with no tag, none of the employees were sure what it was. It's very thick, almost aloe-like. Green in the center with light cream or yellow on the fringes. Large root bulb..

    Glad this finally came up - I've been trying for almost a year to remember the Botanical name, but always forget when I'm at the 'puter...
    Just remembered "mother in-law's tounge".

    That's right, the genus is Sansevieria but there are now hundreds of cultivars of the many species now available. You need to be more specific.

    The exact name for the cultivar in the photo is Sansevieria trifasciata 'Futura Simplex'.

    Sansevieria are rhizomatous not bulbous rooted.
