Can anyone identify this plant? I picked up a huge egg shaped pod at a tourist attraction in South Florida, took it home with me to Oregon and planted it a few weeks ago when it showed signs of sprouting. It is now a vine about 6 feet long and still growing fast. It is basically a vine, woody at the base, with one very tiny leaf every 5 to 8 inches.

    Thanks,
    Judith

Oh, just a guess ... chayote?

More than likely, you'll need to post an image or two.

Thanks for your reply, Daniel. It is not a chayote. I didn't want to dig the seed up for a picture, so here is a more detailed desription of it: the seed was medium brown, completely egg shaped, about 3 1/2 to 4 inches long with a circumference of about 7 inches. I've attached a picture of the vine.
