I have a few seed pods from a flowering vine i came across some time ago, have not been able to figure out what it was... as far as i can remember it had blueish/purple flowers, the petals and leaves were tear-dropped shaped, leaves were not serrated, that's pretty much all i can remember, it was pretty impressive to see, it had grown up one palm tree about ten feet and and all the way up a sumac that must have been a hundred feet tall. the pods are a light green color, about two inches long, half inch wide. i only have a couple good ones left and would like to know more before planting, any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
Cydista aequinoctialis or Clytostoma callistegioides? Any chance there were two vines and you collected the pods from the second vine instead? Those pods look like aborted fruit of Ficus pumila to me. Any chance we could get a picture of the plant?
Unfortunately no, it's too far away from my current location...i've spent quite a bit of time looking on-line and haven't had any luck...
If you don't search with just the right terms you may be pretty unlikely to find what you are looking for on the vast ocean of information that the web has become. If the fruits are still recognizable try taking them to nurseries or gardens and looking for a match, asking people working there if they know it. Or you may recognize the vine in sales displays or plantings near you somewhere; maybe there is an outlet in your town that currently has the same plant standing there in a pot, waiting for you to walk through the door or gate and spot it.
