Identification assistance...

    Tiruvannamalai, INDIA, but I travel a lot!
    Looking for help with the identification of this red berry. I think it was growing on either a vine or a very scraggly bush. Found in a redwood forest beside a small dry creek on the foot of Mt Tam, Larkspur Ca.

    Up here this would be Lonicera hispidula, down there perhaps another, similar one.

    thanks Silver Surfer and Rob B for the ID. I can't believe it's honeysuckle... never would have guessed that!! Thank you so much. There is a lot of it around me in Marin County and it's such an unusual looking vine.
