ID please, vine?

    I found this growing in a riparian area in Abbotsford. Unfortunately, I was not able to take any other photos as it was growing out of a mass of Himalayan blackberries. The leaves are similar in profile to the elderberry, Sambucus canadensis, but it's too much like a vine. Thanks for your attention,

    Elders produce divided leaves so the leaves of this one actually do not have a similar shape - the mystery is instead a free-standing native shrub called Lonicera involucrata.

    Thank you! I will look for it again this year and try to photograph its flowers or berries, blackberries permitting.
