Interesting. Just thinking ...thoughts so far.... In the 1st pic the leaves look very small and evergreen...using the "friend" for scale. The friend may be the lava of the Harlequin ladybird.....Quote from 3rd link......."The first-instar larvae are approximately 2 mm long and reach 7.5-10.5 mm by the fourth (final) instar." Harlequin Ladybird Harlequin ladybird photo - Harmonia axyridis - G78794 | ARKive Harmonia axyridis (harlequin ladybird) I tried to find the food source to see if that helped...it didn't. Oddly the 2nd pics seem to show far bigger leaves. A very large sprawling shrub infact. I was wondering about Celastrus paniculata...but it is from India...no record on www from Albania. celastrus paniculatus - Google Search So...still thinking! Hmmm. Tick tick. Is it ever green? What colour do the berries go when ripe? Where is Lila? She will know. Daniel...cannot find her on members list to send her a private e mail.
@Silver surfer : on the member list, you can enter a member name in the search box. Lila came up right away for me to select. @ariani : I can't answer the question, but having the photo of the plant gives me a very different impression; it would be useful to always post both the plant and the detail.
Hi! :) I don't think it's native to Albania... looks like a Ligustrum sp. Probably a L. ovalifolium, which is a very common hedge plant to your area.
