Id help please yellow flowers

    This is growing in my vegetable garden. It about foot tall and spindly. It has yellow flowers all along the stem. NE Florida. Thanks for the help.

    Looks like Piriqueta cistoides, which can be variable. Sometimes the petals are buttery yellow like yours, and sometimes lemon yellow, sometimes the petals are rectangles, sometimes lush round, sometimes the leaves and stems are attenuated as in yours, and sometimes they are fat, close and hearty, sometimes erect, sometimes ground hugging... I don't know the common name for it in your area, and I just call it piriqueta. Mine looks kinda like yours, not surprising.

    Might be Sida sp.

    Hey, tipularia, that looks like it could be my weed I've been calling piriqueta. Of course that would explain the weird variability: I'm possibly looking at two different plants! I try to use good ID sources, usually agri-extension or university botany stuff. Of course, no source is infallible. So, Nova, I'm thinking tipularia has a better ID for you, and from a somewhat similar region.
