This was planted many years ago in my backyard, in the shade. Leaves on long stalks are up to 2 feet across, in late June puts up a 4 foot spike with tiny white flowers.
Astilboides tabularis. I like how they hold water in the leaves sometimes. Not sure why a plant would do that.
Thanks very much. If often spray it down just to get the leaves to hold water. The non honeybee pollinators love the flowers.
