Hello, This grass was photographed last January in Israel, growing on a roadside lawn. It is new (probably introduced) to Israel and not included in its flora. I believe this is a Brachiaria Sp. and ask for verification and precise species ID. Thanks
I agree that is likely Brachiaria. As to species, that looks like a challenge to say the least. I suggest finding someone who has done a scientific paper on the genus or similar research, and approaching them directly.
