so in our backyard there is this beautiful tree, it has a lightish brown trunk, and green leaves, but only in the spring. After the winter the leaves grow back green then white blossoms pop up in groups. then the flowers die, and the leaves turn a deep purple until they fall off in the fall. oh, the blossoms have a sweet smell. please give me some ideas, I've been wondering about it since we moved in. I've tried to attach some pictures that i thought would be helpful. thanks
Picture on left looks like chokecherry. Your location may or may not point to that one also. Pyramidal shape of inflorescences in picture on right a bit unusual, but probably not significant - unless tree arrived on site as named selection with this characterstic.
