    HI,
A freind of mine gave me this plant and it says daylilly on the pot but I dont think that is what it is..the leaves are kinda thick and soft like a cati family, and has blooms on the top not sure what color (looks white). Thanks for any help...I dont even know if it is an indoor or outdoor plant.

Looks like a common Sedum to me.

It's a Sedum, possibly Autumn Sedum. The flowers are not completely open yet and often look white at first. They will probably change once they mature more and become a different color. My Autumn Sedum is pink.

Sedum spectabilis 'Autumn Joy' it is. This is one tough perennial.

Correctly 'Herbstfreude' -- if that's the particular cultivar your sedum is. "Autumn joy" is a translation into English, and not the name of the cultivar.

Thanks for the correction, people. Happened to see a large number of similar looking sedums at the garden center today, including some of the varieties mentioned here. It must be the time of year for them.
