Wildflowers: Hoping I've ID'ed these correctly

    During my walk yesterday in Blackie Spit Park, Crescent Beach, BC

    1) Blanket Flower
    2) Wild Radish
    3) Douglas Aster

    Yes, it appears you have them correctly identified.

    A (perhaps) interesting sidenote, as I grew up in Crescent Beach and used Blackie Spit as a giant sandbox (pre park): many of the cultivated flowers you've posted were planted over the course of several years by a woman named Mona (now deceased), who scattered various seeds around the spit. When it became a park, an effort was made to remove these 'exotic' species, and 'native' plants were substituted...most of these promptly died. Nice to see some of Mona's efforts persist.

    I went for a nature walk with local resident Steve Chitty (sp) in May. He pointed out a number of trees etc planted by Mona. Includes a row of now very tall poplars at the entrance to Dunsmuir Community Garden.
