I inherited this vine from my aunt who is very old and frail. I have no idea what it is. It looks to me like some kind of morning glory, but the leaves don't match. I have taken a photo of the leaves and the flowers, although they haven't opened yet. It is climbing my pine tree and is sharing a bucket with a queen's wreath, some other vine and some kind of tree. Photos of those later! Does anyone know what it is?

BINGO! I checked out the name you gave me and tons of info is on the internet. Thanks so much, I would never have found it! Common name Alamo plant and it has quite a little history. In some places it is considered rare and some a weed. Apparently pretty old as there is some argument about were it came from. I will have to ask my Aunt if she remembers it or how she got it. I have never seen it before here in Phoenix, but apparently it is drought tolerant. A plus here in the desert. One site mentioned that you need to do something to the seeds before you plant them and that they are toxic? Does this sound right? How much do you know about the plant? I am fascinated! Thanks again! :)
