Help to ID Tropical beauty

    Hi,
    I bought the attached in a plant shop whose proprietor said it was a "gazelia". I can find no info on this anywhere! I'm guessing he was wrong. Can anyone help to identify it?

    It's also not a tropical plant, BTW. It is a plant from South Africa. The flowers only open when they get direct sun in the afternoon, afterwards they close up.

    More than likely it is a Gazana hybrid and not a pure species.
