I planted the bulbs about 2 years ago. The first year there were only green blades, and then the leaves dried up. This year the spring went by, green leaves again, leaves dry up. So I decide to dig up the bulbs, and relocate them. But somehow I missed one bulb and about a week ago a flower pops up on a stalk among the lemon balm plants, see attachment. When shall I replant the bulbs, now, or wait till fall? And what is blooming? Is it some kind of lily?

Not a real lily or relative, but an amaryllid....related to snowdrops, crinums, daffodils, etc.

It's Lycoris squamigera, sometimes called Naked Lily or Surprise Lily. It blooms in mid to late summer, after the leaves have died. Resents transplanting and may not flower for several years after being planted or moved.

smivies, thanks for the id. I'll replant the bulbs. Maybe they will bloom next year.
