As I was taking pictures of the amazing collection of plants in the Botanical Gardens this past week, I tried to take a picture of the tag associated with the plant.

Unfortunately, I have the wrong tag associated with four species and am looking for help identifying these plants.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Mountain laurel may be 'Ostbo Red'.

Sorry for the late reply -- when you say the Botanical Gardens, you mean UBC?

Yes, I did mean the UBC Botanical Garden. However, someone did indeed respond to my thread. I appreciate your response though.

I have also enjoyed the daily photos I receive. They're great. Do any of the photographers list camera settings for these images?

Ok -- just wanted to know if you wanted more specifics on any of the plants. I see they're identified to genus, but not species.

As for the BPotD images - sometimes, if you follow the links back to the Flickr photographs, the metadata will be captured with the image upload. However, I generally don't post camera specs, as it's a bit of a slog when you're dealing with a volume of images (and ties me to posting from home).

That's certainly understandable. Thanks very much.
