HI all.. I need some help on this plant, dose anyone out there know what type of plant, this is it looks like a corn or bamboo plant! The plant is about 12 feet tall growing in zone 6 area. I would love to use this bamboo or cane looking plaint for a privacy screen. If some one out there knows what it is ....could you please tell me how to propagate and grow it. I hope it just a matter of cutting a piece from the stock.. and just stick it in water are soil and hope for roots.
Thank you for any help that you can give me :)

Thank you for the information ....after doing some research, I can see how this plant can be invasive, but we get cold around here and it will die down and and then start to grow again for spring. I have found a few Arundo donax, plants around my area but no one will let me dig any of the rhizomes up.. they say that I can take a few cuttings though. Dose any one know if they will root in water, and if they will what part would I cut to try to make this work.

    Thanks again for the help!
