I have several of these in my garden and want to get more info...

It's a plant that has small purple flowers for many months, perhaps Feb/March thru Oct here in Northern California.

    THanks!!

I want to say Agapanthus, but Calif's not my turf and I'm jumping to conclusions... Good luck, should be fairly easy for an expert to spot...

    Thanks everyone!

what is the best way (and time of year) to propagate thsi plant?
I have a few large bunches I'd like to spread out...

    Also, I collected some seeds.
What is the best way to grow these?

simply lift the clump, wash the soil from the roots to gain access to the bulbs then gently tease them apart. As it's autumn up your way, I suggest you do it now or early spring.
    Cheers
