I've recently started getting into botany, and understanding wild plants that are local to my area. I live in Wisconsin, to give you an idea of where the plants came from. So here they are, I apologize if they're pathetically easy to identify, I'm new to this and have to start somewhere. I also have a few fungi and moss type of species that I want to identify, but I wasn't sure if I should post that here or not. God Bless, Joshua
#1 looks rather like Glechoma hederacea, creeping charlie... an introduced and invasive species, if so. #2 reminds me of a raspberry except maybe for the hairs on the leaves...
yes, #1 is creeping charlie. nasty little bugger, even IF it has pretty purple flowers on it!! (i LUV purple). it's very, very invasive and very, very hard to get rid of! can't help with the other one.
Wisconsin? He's got them. If it's not Stinging Nettle, then it's a close relative within the Urticaceae.
Well it's probably young and just sprouting since are snow has just left the ground finally...so maybe it'd be easier to tell as it matures. Thanks for the help with the other one as well :) God Bless, Joshua
