I have an emergent/marginal plant growing in my pond. I think the first year we lived here it may have had tubular blue/purple flowers, but I didn't pay very close attention and it did not bloom last year due to stress. I have searched the internet repeatedly trying to identify it. It's vine-like, and grows vigorously. I think it prefers lots of sunlight--that was one thing that changed last year and may have contributed to it not blooming. My pond snails love it and lay eggs all over the stems. Any ideas?
