Help identifying this flower?

    I am hoping someone can help me identify this flower, I would appreciate it greatly.

    Try Solanum wendlandii. If not, then another closely related plant.

    I googled the word and looked up a couple of images, the plant does have a striking resemblance to it, so it does appear to be a close relative. Thank you very much for your help.

    You can tell it's a nightshade relation by the yellow beak in the center of the flower and the structure of the flowerheads. You will see similar features in tomato and potato plants.

    By any chance, does anyone know what this is? It came off the plant and is very hard.
