Can someone please tell me what this is. I have looked for it in books and on the web with no luck. It was located near the road under a forest of pine trees. It was the only one I saw in this area. I live in Northern Ontario. Thanks for any help.
Hello, and welcome to the forums. You've discovered Actaea pachypoda, or white baneberry (Actaea pachypoda via USDA Plants Database with pics) Another common name for it is doll's eyes. Nice plant, we're hoping to have it within our new Carolinian Forest at UBC sometime in the next few years.
