Photo was taken yesterday in New Westminster, BC. Lovely full hedge with leaves that measure approximately 2.5 inches by .5 inch with delicate white flower clusters. Hedge height was just over 4 feet. Thank you!
Yes, Tyrlych has a better ID. I just confirmed this with Douglas Justice, Curator of Collections. I am not really a trained botanist, I just know a lot of plants and the one I thought is very common in the area and looks similar. Ligustrum has thinner leaves and a looser inflorescence. They both are fragrant. Darn, the one time I did not preface my ID with, "looks like" or "might be".
