Hairy Vine--Friend or Foe?

    This volunteer came with a neighbour's giveaway. I was hoping it was a trailing currant. I didn't notice any flowers or berries during the past year but I might have missed something. The leaves are 6 cm across. I hesitated to call it a vine because it did not grow much in 1.5 years, but it kept itself low to the ground. The underside of the leaves is almost white.
