There's this grape vine we've had for a while (growing in Edmonton, AB) that we got from a neighbour who's father took a clipping in BC - the grapes seem to be wine grapes (very sour and like blueberries) but I'm not entirely sure what kind they actually are. Pictures attached (more coming in next posts).

    Thanks!

Or if they're almost seedless, they could be Coronation, which are popular in the markets around here.

I don't believe they're seedless. Thanks for the previous replies though, I'll look in to them!

That the clipping may have come from a climate where more grape varieties might be hardy doesn't mean it isn't one of the usual zone 3 hardy varieties... e.g. 'Beta', 'Valiant'. After all, it appears to be hardy in Edmonton, so it's not likely to be anything too exotic.

It seems to grow very well in an area with lots of sunlight in the morning and shade during the evening hours. I think the clipping came from Penticton or something? Does anyone know if these grapes usually can grow in a climate like Edmonton's?
