Ghost Plant

  1. No, not -the- ghost plant, but when I saw this plant on the side of the road (in Florida, US), it looked like a puff of smoke hanging frozen in the air. I saw a group of 6 of them, and turned to my passenger to confirm what I saw. She didn't see the ones I saw, but shortly after, we saw two more. We didn't see another plant along the drive.

It looked like a golden puff of smoke in the air. I didn't see any leaves or a stem. When I asked another person about the plant, he said that they grew a lot in Germany. He said the leaves were very tiny and nearly translucent, and you could only see them in the morning when there was dew hanging on them and reflected by the sunlight. That would correlate with the time I saw these plants and the golden "smoky" appearance they had.

I would love to know the name of this plant.

    Thank you,

    Bianca
