There used to be an old Delphinium called (appropriately) Pacific Giant

I remember an aunt growing it from Stokes Seed carefully — then it was so tall !

Then trim it down after first bloom and shorter flowers come back for a second flush in the same summer

Of course - it would flop over in Coast rain so had to have massive stakes etc

    Benary's Pacific Giants Mix (Delphinium)

Sure it won't stand rain. Tonight's rain will be sufficient
to topple half of them !
