Martian soil contains toxic perchlorates. Either humans have to flush those out of the soil, and fertilize it. Martian soil is rich in iron, so thats a plus.

There will be no farming on Mars, ever.

there will be, just not similar to the ways on earth. its certainly possible if we dont wipe each other outin 100-300 years.

Im vouching for the colonization of the solar system and the benefits it will bring to humanity even though im not going to be alive to see it.

Farming on Mars would be just faster wasting of Earth's resources. If that's the goal, then we can just burn our fossile fuels at their deposits.

No, not mars. were headed in a path that lines with Venus. were getting hotter, getting a thicker, more co2 rich atmosphere, not colder.

Money does not matter. Money is a fiction. But the problem is, that operations in space are extremely energy consuming and inefficient. Farming on Mars would waste more Earth's resources than providing Marsians with food from Earth.

We are heading into new Ice Age first. Earth is loosing its atmosphere. Spilling our water into the space (with mankind's space quest) will turn Earth into arid wasteland and desert, any clouds would be rarity. I see no many similarities with Venus.

We have plenty of water.. the solar system has evn more than that. the ice age is inevitable, but by then humanity will have become something else (50,000 to 100,000 years) dead or advanced enough to not rely on Earth anymore

AFAIK, Earth loses about 100,000 tons of hydrogen into the Space per year by natural process. Much more than comets and meteors bring.
How much Oxygen and Hydrogen is spilled into the Space with each flight to Mars, that has been so far pretty negligible, but if some businessmen find to be profitable to smear our natural resources into the Space, that would increase rapidly, like pushing junk into the Earth's orbits by SpaceX.
