Fungi/ Slime mold Id

    I was wondering if anyone could Id this for me? Not sure if it is a slime mold or a lichen. Leaning towards slime mold but I am not too familiar with either. Thanks.

    Neither, a liverwort. Identification will be easier if it isn't dessicated, and may only then be possible with microscopic characters. Someone familiar with the area might be able to sight-identify it, though.
