Most species occur in rain forests, to the tune of thousands in a single area. Even today it is probably still possible to penetrate a remote area and discover dozens of new species. If the plant making the swelling can have its leaves etc. clearly shown it may be possible for someone here to make a suggestion, otherwise perhaps somebody at a university or botanic garden in your area may be able to help.
